Born in the Borders | Jedburgh

A great day out for all the family

What we like:

There's a brewery, there's a distillery, there's a lovely restaurant with some seriously tasty baking, there's roller-skating, there's grass sledging, there's ...well, there's a lot going on here.

In their own words:

"Born in the Borders is an extraordinary new visitor centre located next to the Scottish Borders Brewery.
Set on the banks of the River Teviot, it brings together the best of everything that is grown, made, spun, produced, cooked and created in the area.
With a food and drink shop, a goods and gifts shop, a stunning cafe and restaurant, riverside walks, picnic spots and brewery tours, there’s no better way to discover the incredible wealth of products and goods our amazing region has to offer.
So whether you are coming for the shopping, the delicious food, or just a meander around our beautiful parkland, you’ll find that Born in the Borders opens up a world of local possibilities."

Good to know:

You can also see ospreys nesting nearby during the summer and there's a camera set up sending pictures of the birds back to a display in the restaurant.
