This scarf was woven on my 8 shaft Colonial loom using twill blocks weaving pattern with different yarns in the weft to create an interesting variety of blocks, patterns and textures.
 
The warp is black wool and salt & pepper boucle stripes. Half the length of the scarf has been woven with the same yarns to create the blocks and the other half has pink wool and variegated Tencel yarn.
 
The fringes are knotted and left ‘au naturel’. It’s rustic and cosy.
