Award-winning restaurant and bar in Selkirk town centre
What we like:
Husband and wife team Tracey and Trevor Ward run a great bar and restaurant in the centre of Selkirk.
In their own words:
"Between them, Tracey and Trevor have over 60 years experience in the Hospitality and Catering Industry and have gained experience in a wide variety of different establishments. Tracey began her career in the Travel Industry and moved into Hotels in 1990 as Reservations Manager at The Mount Royal Hotel on Edinburgh’s Princes Street. After moving within the Hotel Group a few years later, she decided to focus on Front of House Operations. Trevor has worked in some of the top Hotels in the UK and was Head Chef in the fine dining restaurant at The Old Course Hotel in St Andrews – where he was the first Chef in the Hotels history to be awarded 3 AA Rosettes in The Grill Restaurant in 2004. Their Son Ryan has recently completed and passed a Modern Apprenticeship to be a Chef - he now works alongside Trevor in the Kitchen full time."
Good to know:
They win a lot of awards. Look out for the tasting menu nights. Five Turrets guests can get a discount.
